Going on dutasteride before finasteride aged 22. Good idea? (link to pics)

Hi
I'm 22 with quite bad diffuse loss, because of this I thought I would go on dutasteride. I'm now thinking that it might have been more sensible to try out finasteride first, since the sides are less severe.
My story with pics is here:

What do you think?

I don't see a problem. Most people start with the cheaper, more conservative drug i.e. Propecia, but if you can tolerate dutas then you stand a better chance of strong regrowth over the short term.

At 6 months dutasteride 0.5mg/day was nearly 50% ahead of Propecia in hair count. However, we don't know if this advantage is maintained at 1 or 2 years. dutasteride might just prompt a quicker response.

The adverse reactions for dutasteride in treating BPH (and in the 6 month hair loss trial) were broadly in line with Proscar (finasteride 5mg).

if i were you i would go with dutasteride .5 every day plus rogaine foam morning and night and nizoral 3 times a week scrubbed in real good all over ur male pattern baldness area and left on for 10 min. i think you got short hair so it those 3 will work like a charm, because your young. i wouldnt not just do dutasteride though because you seem to have very agresive hair loss for such a young age. hiting it from 3 different angles will give you best chance. if you do all those now in 6months i think you can have fantastic results because i see all your hair is there just thinned out all over. even your front is still there justt thinned out. the foam is a piece of cake applyin with short hair like yours and drys almost instantly also isnt to expensive around 40 bucs for 3 month supply.
