I always preferred being clean shaven to bearded and I never liked having to buzz my hair every few days or every week. It's not possible to look worse than one does as a bald guy, with a close haircut or not, so I'm going with it. NW6 guys have very few style options but this is still one of them.

Just try wearing a piece. Do a little experiment. Plan in a holliday, so you don't have to wear it at work at first, and take a good system with you and try to live a little. See if that changes your perspective. Running clown game in a futile effort to embrace the humiliation will only backfire

Did it. This weekend was when I was scheduled to buzz my head and optionally my beard. I decided to clean shave my beard and leave the head. If I like the look, that's all that matters. I'm not saying that what others think doesn't matter at all, but no look that a bald guy sports will be highly rated by the average person.

Yeah when I am 50 or sth I will grow out my horseshoe because I will give a f*** no longer. But a fully shaved head might be rated highly because it still makes you look younger than a horseshoe

It's only sabotage if you make yourself look worse. I now believe that all looks that a NW6 can do, without any restoration or concealers etc, are equally bad. Why is this worse than buzzed head with beard? I think that it's equally bad, not worse.

it does look worse if you under 40

i saw a guy under 30 with grow out horseshoe recently and he looked like scarecrow and creepy

it just didnt match with his youthhful face, like something was wrong. my brain didnt connect his lack of hair to hairloss but to illness and creepiness. i never had this when i saw full shaven/buzzed guys or really old guys with grown out horseshoe

Also wear a system. I understand that you cannot show up with hair overnight. However you can increment the hair little by little...

How do I increment?

I'm wearing this look and so far so good. I don't look approachable or happy and that's just as well because I am not. Going to keep clean shaving when I can, and just leave the head hair.

How is your scalp? Is it shiny and completely zero hair? If so then you need to start with a small piece of system with very short hair... like for example advance your bald area 1 or 2 cm with the system... and blend it having ur horseshoe at the same lenght.


You can do this every 3 or 4 months and after a year and something you should be able to have your system completely.

During all this time you will have made random comments about some amazing vitamins and serums that make u feel great and boost hair growth and are clearly working and are the reason why you've grown out ur hair to layman... when u go for ur hairline after the year you can claim to have a hairline hair transplant to make it more natural and less fake.

How do you use only a piece of a system? Will that be expensive? I will send you photos of my situation.

I am guessing they would cut it. And you might need a new hair system every time that you want to cover more of your scalp.

I do not know what is your estimation of expensive. You live in London, I heard there are great hair system professionals in this city, go somewhere and propose the idea and see what they have to say and how they can help.

Maybe I should just pay for a consultation. I have some savings for this because I was saving for a North American hair transplant, but I don't want to be ripped off or waste my money. It sounds like what you're saying is that I do it almost like a hair transplant... I gst a system only on the crown or frontal area then a new one later with full coverage.

I just want to know what you are recommending to me. I didn't know if there was an alternative to bald one guy and full head of hair (with system) the next. Seems like I would have to explain that it's a system.

what @Descending Dog recommends is sly and doable if you can commit to it. noone will know it's a system if you "regrow/regain" your hair incrementally. order a high quality system and buzz it. first short, then longer and longer, every week or two. it will be an expensive affair, but it maybe worth it if you don't want to appear out of the blue with a full head of hair and have to answer embarrassing questions

interesting. but seems like a low quality system in the vid. makes sense you can't go ultra short but as short as possible, maybe after you take a week off from work or return from a holliday

Why? Why is it any different or better?

Myself I am not a good candidate for a hair transplant. One clinic has said that they can take me, hoping to use a lot of beard donor, if I can commit to using finasteride for the next 15 years. I am scared of finasteride and committing for that long. Why is going through all of this with potentially dangerous drugs (search for the latest finasteride papers on Google scholar for example) and a big surgery somehow preferable to a system? I can not think of why except for "what others think".
