, have been reading everyones experiences and thought i'd post mine. I am 20 have been lossing my hair dramatically since around 18. Started propecia since i was 18 for 1.5 years with no result. I stopped it since my brother is 24 and has been using it for 4 years with little results( hence i didnt think it would work for me). I have been on dutasteride every other day since, but for the last month i have been taking it daily. My hair loss has slowed down, but i dont think it has actucally stopped. My hairline is crepping up so i added minoxidil 5 %. I have also been using the laser comb for around 7 month now, i can say it has made my hair thicker. I am using it every other day. Overall, its too early to say if dutasteride is going to work. I have had no side effects, im continuing to grow muscle wise and things are going well. I'll keep you guys updated.
Sounds like you made some good decisions. Rogaine was the thing to add. I would have added it to the Propecia, but ... dutasteride is also an option.

should i shampoo daily, in other words i shampoo with nixoral monday and thrusday. Should i use another shampoo on monday, tuesday, wednesday, friday and saturday?
Ideally you'll use Nizoral once every 3 days. That means the days will alternate from week to week.
Monday (Tuesday,Wednesday)
Thursday (Friday, Saturday)
Sunday (Monday, Tuesday)
Wednesday (Thursday, Friday)
Saturday .... etc. On your off days, yes, shampoo. Use anything that is moisturizing and possibly something that heals damaged hair. Nizoral can do a number on your hair drying it out. Use a conditioner as well. This should keep things in balance. But yes you want to wash daily to get your rogaine off the scalp and gently cleanse your scalp skin to help keep it calm.

Also my thinning is worst in the front. Can i do anything else to thicken it up, its getting me, its become noticable and im always wearing a cap at uni. Does anyone suggest a multivitamin.. etc?
Multivitamins wont help with this. They can help make existing hair more healthy and strong (versus brittle and breaking). But your condition is androgenetic alopecia ... which is andro=hormonal genetic = genetic predisposition. Now keep in mind - I would recommend Propecia 1mg daily and Rogaine 5% for your situation. I can't give you any claims about Dutasteride. Some guys shed like wild on it. It just depends. Propecia has a good 10 years of hair loss studies behind it now that we can point to, so I have a lot more assurance with it. Dutasteride has some great results in studies too, but they are preliminary and not widely tested by many different companies, researchers, etc, like Propecia. Either way, a potent DHT inhibitor and rogaine 5% up front are your absolute best bet. The last thing you wanna do is change up your regimen right now. Pick something and stick to it for a minimum of another 12 months. I dont care if it doesn't seem to be working. Stick with it! I dont care if you shed like crazy. Stick with it. Rogaine can and does cause shedding and dutasteride may as well .... If you were on Propecia id say stick with it!

Also i have taken a blood test last week to seem my DHT levels, what is the normal level which i should be hopping for when i get me results.
The only value for DHT tests are for people who have not started Propecia or Dutasteride and want to see, just for fun, how much their levels decrease after they go on it with a followup test. There really is no value in such a test otherwise. We can't say "X DHT level = more hair loss, more severe hair loss, less severe hair loss, etc etc etc". Really doesn't mean much. Most of the time people get an Estrogen test prior to taking Propecia so they can watch their estrogen levels. Thats the real issue if and when side effects come into play. Comparing an estrogen test BEFORE going on a DHT inhibtor to a followup test while on a DHT inhibitor and experiencing side effects can help the person determine whether they should discontinue treatment, becuase E levels are too high.
