Wondering if anybody can recommend a good topical minoxidil+finasteride mix?

I've used Promox in the past which contains 5% minoxidil, Finasteride, and a bunch of stuff like progesterone and hydrocortisone. I feel that the topical finasteride does work to some extent since my crown feels more calm after using(note that I'm on oral finasteride as well and I used the topical finasteride for added benefit). I still use it on my crown from time to time. Maybe the topical finasteride contributes to some extra scalp dht inhibition. My problem with Promox is that it is really sticky and thick and irratates the hell out of my scalp especially at hairline. Maybe because of the carrier they use. It was ok on the scalp if I massage it in really carefully but for temple it simply inflames my scalp no matter what I do.

So is there a better version of minoxidil + finasteride solution? I've seen people discussing morr-f but the consensus seems to be that it's also really sticky and thick and on top of that smells funny. Also aware of Dual Gen but obviously cannot buy it in the US anymore.

Also wondering if I can simply crush some finasteride pills and dump them into my regular rogaine?

Any insights will be helpful. Thanks!

12 x 5mg tabs in 60mls minoxidil gives a 0.1% finasteride solution. Crush the tabs into fine powder first though

You are right about the corticosteroid dependence thing, but I doubt if that's the case with Promox. The concentration in it is so pathetically low that it's pretty much impossible to have any real effect. I also used Scalpicin before which is a hydrocortisone solution with far higher concentration and it did not do much. I actually also had them remove the hydrocortisone from Promox for maybe two bottles? Did not feel any difference so brought it back because why not.
