Got Complimented On My Hair Today And Didn't Know How To React

I've been cutting my own hair for about 6 years - i've gotten pretty good at it. But my hair is thinning and the bald spot on my vertex is tricky to cover up with a combover + toppik.

Today, while in a group meeting at work this girl stops me and quizzes me on my hair and tells me she thinks it looks really good. She was being genuine, there was no sarcasm or malice - but i was so shocked, and so dumbfounded that it took me a while to realize she was complimenting me on my hair. I mean, i must have looked like an idiot to her as i tried to process the words she was saying.

Long story short, even with a bald spot and thinning, a careful combover and toppik lets me get by on most days. It's a hell of a job to get the hair cut just right, but it does hide the hairloss to a good extent - of course as my vertex thins further and the bald spot grows, i won't be able to get away with it even with extra care when combing my hair.

ugh... a full head of naturally thick hair would be so nice....

She wants your dick, she knows your insecure about your hair, and is being "genuine" about your one weak point to manipulate you and get in your pants. haha ;)

Now it would, wouldn't it? ;)
I agree with Bucky, she wants your sex as great George Michael would put it.

PS: how much I would give to see a pic (or at least an outline) of this now-complimented hair! It has never happened to me

haha no she doesn't, though she is very cute so i'd be quite the lucky guy; she is very friendly with everyone and genuinely a nice person so i think she truly thought my hair looked good though it was probably just that it looked slightly different since my last haircut.

ok, hair aside... the only time I've seen a girl go out of her way to compliment someone she barely knows is when a) she wants to suck your dick to climb the employment ladder or b) she wants to suck your dick because she likes you. Either way, a) congrats on being the boss and/or b) congrats on being sexy. :p

Over three years ago, back when I was going to church, an older woman walked up to me and said "You have the most beautiful hair I have ever seen!" I said thank you to her, but I thought to myself "Huh?! But but my thinning especially at the front is getting so bad! And I'm graying too at my age!"

I was extremely puzzled, and still am to this day from that compliment. Yes, I did have hair like a Disney prince before this misfortune happened to me but it was a real surprise nonetheless.

I have never been complimented on my hair in my entire life. Well, atleast during the times I can recall. Perhaps my shitty self cuts and avoiding the barber contributed to the lack of interest.

It is actually possible to compliment someone without vaguely putting a bunch of other people down. It's actually more difficult than not doing this.

Oh well I guess we all have our skills in life.

Me neither!
When I was 23 two different people said
"Your hair looks good despite the hairloss"

:D

Then it stopped forever!

I have never been complimented on my hair in my entire life.

I remember being complimented on my hair during my freshman year in college. She just came out and said "You have cool hair". Cute blond girl. She had a boyfriend and I didn't have any game so I just left it at that. I do remember thinking about her and jerking off later that night.

Haha... I love a candid anecdote.

sh*t, I had hair like Johnny Depp during his 21 Jump Street years.

Indeed. My hair was the #1 thing I used to get complimented on about my looks, now it really never happens. I am a huge hair guy and what has happened is still absolutely upsetting to me everyday, there's not a single day that goes by where I don't think about my hair. I think it's completely safe to say that most of us, if not, every one of us here were major hair people at least at a subconscious level. Then alopecia came along, and we simply cannot cope with it at all. It completely disrupted that "perfect sense of happy balance in life" and we can't get over it and outright never will to be completely honest. Some individuals do cope better but I myself am fully aware at this point personally that I will NEVER get over this. It's too traumatizing, period. Life keeps going on but it's just never the same unfortunately.

I wish you the best on continuing this hair loss battle, and to everyone.

Oh how nice words!
I think I had that sense of balance no more than 10 days in my life, the ten days when my hair for some reason looked good for >5 hours consecutively.
