got my finasteride!

just bought a box of finasteride (Propecia) today. 60 dollars, for a month's supply. pretty damn expensive i know. should i start now? i don't know what i'm waiting for, but maybe i'll start tomorrow.

most important thought: should i quit minoxidil right away?. i'm definately not going to continue using minoxidil... maybe for another 3 months (since that's how long advanced hair will supply it to me for). after that, i'm keen to drop minoxidil. so should i just drop it now? or should i ease off it? or should i "definately" keep going with it?. what do you guys think?

start propecia now, and dont stop using minoxidil, also add nizoral shampoo as i mentioned before. Goodluck

why shouldn't i stop using minoxidil? i really don't like how it makes my hair feel. if i stop it, and react well on finasteride, isn't that ok?... i don't know, why not stop? what could happen? and i used to use nizoral ages ago it seemed, only remembered now (this was when i was alot younger)

you can stop, i think minoxidil can be good for some regrowth, if u dont want to apply it then just stop.

well, i've been on minoxidil for about 4 months now. i haven't noticed much regrowth. temples a bit of benefit: right seems to have come down, left seems about the same.

if i take finasteride, in conjunction with minoxidil, should the finasteride maintain the hair that's been regrown by minoxidil? (after i ease off minoxidil)

whether propecia will maintain your hair, no one knows... but i do know that 83% of people on it maintain and 0% on just minoxidil slow down or halt male pattern baldness. everyone, get this straight, without finasteride, dutasteride or a VERY good topical anti-DHT & androgen regime, your male pattern baldness will ONLY get worse!

1) What are you waiting for? Start propecia!

2) Add nizoral shampoo every third day.

3) You could drop the minoxidil for a while to evaluate finasteride, but expect a shed if you have been on it for a while. (I wouldn't drop it if I was you but that is just my opinion. I found minoxidil and finasteride together work wonders.....) Then again, you might be a very good responder to finasteride so you might not need minoxidil. Its up to you bro. Good luck
