Hey everyone,
How's it going. This is my story of losing hair , going to Turkey for the treatment and exploring it and the results. I had been losing hair since 19 because of stress due to personal reasons. But by the age of 28, I had almost all of my personal sh*t sorted out and wanted to get my hair back. I delayed the hair transplant because first of all it was quite expensive in the US, secondly due to not knowing any reliable clinics abroad and thirdly I was afraid to take a huge step. Anyways fast forward, 3 of my friends were losing hair a lot and they proposed me if I wanted to join them for hair transplant together abroad. I liked the idea of going with a group of friends abroad rather than going alone. I think so this was the best decision I made because I became less anxious as I was in the same boat as my other friends. We extensively researched about clinics abroad , thought about going to Mexico/ thailand/ Turkey. But after a month of research online and through some contacts we decided to get it done in Turkey because of its reputation and secondly we had a friend's friend (Turkish American ) helping out which clinic to go for. He has his whole website connecting people to the best turkish clinics. So we booked an appointment through him , bought the tickets and landed in Turkey. The Turkish hospitality really made me feel great. We were staying in a 5 star hotel ( the clinic covered it), ate great food and got the treatment done. I got around 2200 grafts and friends of mine got around the same. Since we had taken off from work for 2 weeks, we had also planned to explore Turkey. Kudos to the Turkish American who was there with us the whole time. He booked our hotels in different cities and guided us to explore Istanbul, Antalya and Izmir. We ate in great restaurants, stayed in great hotels, and enjoyed a lot.
Now for the price breakdown : treatment ( 2k ) , flight tickets (1.5k) , Food + Expenditures within Turkey (1K) .. i.e. Hotels were covered by the turkish guy. In total 4,500 $ for the entire thing.
Results : it's been 8-9 months after the treatment and here are the before and after pictures. The turkish guy and the doctors reach out to me once a week to ask about the post-treatment recovery which is great!
To all thos guys who are hesitant from getting a hair transplant, dont be afraid. This sh*t is going to make u more confident. And to those who have already got it done, be patient cuz you are almost there
