Got2b chaotic putty application tips needed

Okey i received my got2b chaotic putty a few days ago, and although it seems very good, i am having a hard time applying it.

Any tips? Shall my hair be wet or dry when i apply it? What quantity is perfect for short hair?

I got this stuff too, its good but a bit overrated I think.

Very similar to Garnier's Surfer Hair.

Apply it to very damp hair, and if your in a cooler climate you'll want to warm the paste up in your hands before applying it to your hair to make sure it will spread evenly.

Well as far as now i am a bit puzzled. I have done 2 different applications.

In the first one, it styled my hair nicely, but gave a really "grey" look, which was not cosmetically acceptable. The thickness and the style though were great.

In the second one, I applied less in wet hair AND hands, so i skipped the grey look, but my hair looked like when i style it with normal gel, perhaps a bit thicker but not that great.

Dunno, i think if i find the golden cut, i will have a great product in my hands.

Why is is when I apply this stuff fairly heavy, it stays white on my hair & balls up, and does not go away unless heated with a hair dryer. Do I have a bad can of it?
