My grandson started losing his hair about 6 months ago. He lost it in the back and then the sides. After he started sporting a mohawk, the middle of that fell out. Low eyelashes gone and half of his eyebrows. Although I admit that I don't want this to be alopecia, I am also bothered by the fact that doctors say it without even checking other avenues.
After months of trying to get him to the doctor, he went to a dermatologist and he prescribed him an anti-anxiety pill. I feel like there is so little practical information and that everyone seems to be urging us to accept alopecia before we have even dealt with the fact that his skin is more pale, he has dark circles which is new and he has two toned skin on his cheeks.
At this point, I'm afraid it's worse than alopecia.
