Grew A Beard, Didn't Notice My Recession

Hi guys,

I just wanted to mention that I recently started growing a beard for two weeks. It was interesting to me as the longer my beard grew, the less I 'felt' like I was going bald.

The difference was massive in hindsight. The beard takes attention away from the head, of course. Most bald guys grow a beard after they have already become bald eagles. But I thought it could be good to let some other guys know that it could actually be more effective to begin to grow out a beard whilst you are receeding.

I shaved my beard off recently, it was looking straggly, and I have a new corporate job that I'm starting, so figured coming in looking like a hippie/tramp on my first day may not work that well. But since I'm shaved, all of a sudden, I'm hyper aware of my hairline again. So, the beard definitely has it's positives. I guess keeping a moderate beard trimmed often would be the way to go for those of us in office settings where beards may not b be fully appreciated..

I agree. Especially if you're bald bald, you need something to take the attention off your chrome dome, be it glasses or a fuckoff beard. Either can offset the baldness a bit.

It's a shame. If someone faces the indignity of losing their hair they should at least be compensated by godly beard genetics. We all know that isn't the case though.

Hi there!
A few weeks ago, a friend aof mine sent me a link to Beard growing tips. This is a good site to visit while growing one's facial hair - https://www.maanly.com/ . Just check out the grooming section. Beard growing is actually a test of patience and endurance. You cannot rush it.

Glad that it worked for you but I have the opposite experience, having a beard accentuates my receded hairline and I feel that way for most men I see with that combo.

Beard & bald is one of the dumbest looks there is. Nothing looks more retarded than a shiny dome on your head with a rabbi beard to go along with it. Also as you said, no corporate workplaces would allow this.

My psyche can only handle one website dedicated to inefficient re-growth remedies at a time.

It's becoming a very common thing now. I too refuse to participate. I'm waiting for Tsuji to give me back my grace. Meanwhile, I'll just haunt society with my bald ghoul look and make them pay!

Beards are cool. They are. Not every guy can grow a good one though.

Beards are nice, but when you have the right type of thick beard that suits your face. Still, a beard with a thick head of hair is a billion time better than a beard with a cue ball, which is seen in a negative light socially.

I like your user id name.

I'm thinking of changing mine to "Charlie Brown", the most hated bald comic character.

He is a loser in everything he does. He can't even pick a tree for the Christmas holidays.

Such an inspiring cartoon for young kids. Makes me so glad I'm bald.

Hi guys by the way I wanted to make clear that guys who are balding as opposed to bald may benefit even better from beards. What I'm saying is that in my case it detracted my my recession and made it lose noticeable. Obviously going cue bald and having a massive beard becomes a massive cope.

'Cope' or not it can make a lot of eggheaded men look considerably better.

Most white men look like ghouls with a bald head and clean shaved. You need something even if it's some stubble. I'd rather be seen as coping than looking like I'm terminally ill.

Agreed. I take back that it's a 'massive cope'. It can work for some guys. Although I feel its beginning to become a little too cliche.
