Hi guys,
I just wanted to mention that I recently started growing a beard for two weeks. It was interesting to me as the longer my beard grew, the less I 'felt' like I was going bald.
The difference was massive in hindsight. The beard takes attention away from the head, of course. Most bald guys grow a beard after they have already become bald eagles. But I thought it could be good to let some other guys know that it could actually be more effective to begin to grow out a beard whilst you are receeding.
I shaved my beard off recently, it was looking straggly, and I have a new corporate job that I'm starting, so figured coming in looking like a hippie/tramp on my first day may not work that well. But since I'm shaved, all of a sudden, I'm hyper aware of my hairline again. So, the beard definitely has it's positives. I guess keeping a moderate beard trimmed often would be the way to go for those of us in office settings where beards may not b be fully appreciated..
