nice results man, i bet keeping it short makes it easier to apply the topicals. i'm on your regimen minus the spironolactone. do you think it's been helping you out? or would you attribute most of success so far to finasteride and minoxidil?

I would have to say finasteride and minoxidil are helping more but I wouldnt really know because I have been using all of them for the same length of time. One of the biggest reasons I use the spironolactone cream is because it dulls the shinyness of my scalp, also it makes my hair look thicker when its on too. I dont really know if its growing hair though but it cant hurt and Im happy with the results so far.
Yep, having short hair really helps when putting on topicals. I think a lot of people waste a ton of the products they are using because it gets trapped and soaked up by your hair.

1/4 proscar
5%rogane
3%spironolactone (home made)
2%nizoral

Good results GSXR!
I was wondering, how did you make your own spironolactone-cream?
Early results (at month 4) maybe the result of spironolactone in your regimen...usually proscar takes longer and minoxidil should only start to work from month 4 on or so. ofcourse people are all different so can't say for sure...

I take 1 ounce of Dermabase cream which I measure in a shot glass. Then I take a peice of paper and put 2 spironolactone pills in the middle and fold the paper in half so when I hit them with a hammer they dont go all over the place. I hit them about 4 or 5 times and they turn into a real a fine powder. I do that to 10 100mg spironolactone pills. Then just poor the spironolactone powder in a container along with the 1 ounce of dermabase. The only reason I use dermabase is because I couldnt find the darvon bryan was talking about. Also this stuff is a lot cheaper and seems to do the trick. Also I know this is more than a 3% mix. Maybe more like a 4% mix.

Hi GSXR,

thanks for the pics. You got some awsome results man.
your hair looks exactly like mine (baseline), and i am at the end of month 2 of my treatment, though the improvement so far has ben minimal (fuzz hairs at temples and here and there...), how good were your results at the 2 month break? when did you really start to notice a difference?

thanks an i appreciate you sharing your experiences

I started to notice results at around 2 months I think. Its hard to tell visually because it happens so slowly. I recomend taking pics. Until I took my second pics I didnt think I improved that much. On thing that I do is every time I put on the minoxidil I rinse my hair with water. I feel Im getting the old minoxidil residue off and it hydrates the scalp. I have read several times on these bords that a hydrated scalp absorbs minoxidil better than a dry one.
I hope this helps.
