I still have some very slight gyno that I got during puberty. Is it highly likely that I will get b**ch tits if I start propecia or are the chances the same as a person that doesn't have preexisting gyno?
If your body is likely to produce gyno than finasteride will just increase this effect, as it raises your estradiol lvls. Sorry about the bad message, hope this helps anyway.
Bumping this up for more responses because I am extremely desperate at this point. Based on the unprecedented amount of hair that I have lost in the last 4 months, I'll be nw6-7 before I hit 22 unless I get on propecia.
Before I started Gyno I had some puberty gyno left over unnoticable to anyone may I add but I always knew it was there.
Yes gyno did make the GYNO symptoms come back raised my levels although between normal ranges still I was feeling the symptoms and I had to quit finasteride.
Then you must have some very poor doctors in your areas.
Just take the info about the medication, print-outs even, and get blood tests done. My own GP had not encountered a transgendered individual before me either, so I helped out by printing out some information which I felt might be relevant and went from there.
Also your GP can refer you to an expert if it is beyond his area of experience.
*Please* do not be so naive as to kid yourselves that you can substitute professional medical care with the opinions of strangers posting on the internet (or so arrogant to advise others to take your word over that of a medical professional on “say-so†alone).
I have a topless picture from when I was 18 and I can see that I used to have gyno as well... I never really paid attention to it at the time, as far as I was concerned I was fit enough. I could chase the ball all day long, it doesn't get better than that.
My guess is that it's normal to have gyno around that age, but you should really talk to a professional if you have some doubts...
