My right nipple is hard, not all the time but like 80% of the time. Not really itchy or sore and no lump but kind of weird feeling around it. I have been working out for the last 5 weeks and this nipple thing has started at around the same time. Anyway I have read that hard/puffy nipples are one of signs of gyno..

So what should I do now?...Would any over the counter drug or gel take care of it? if so, what should I get? I am in Australia by the way so something easy to get here in Australia will be good!

Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

sorry to hear that you went through all that! I am not ready to give up on my fight with hair loss yet. So i won't quit finasteride, just not yet..... I will do whatever I can do to reverse this gyno thingy and of course, if everything else failed, surgery would be my resort.

my Gyno was caused by an antidepressant medication - it happened about 2 years before I started on the finasteride so it definetely wasn't finasteride that caused it.

Mine's a little different from yours, Fred - my nipples are fine, but the breasts have swollen - I'm pretty sure it's a mixture of fat and glandular tissue. I'm doing what I can to lose weight and hopefully burn some of the fat off. Then I'm going to started pec exercises to try and tone up my chest.

If the gyno still bothers me I'll look into surgery, but unfortuantely the NHS won't fund it, so it doesn't look very likely unless I come into some money

Have you tried letrozole or Nolvadex? I have read that these can help with gyno. I will wait and see a few more days to make usre if this is definitely Gyno and then see my doctor to get a prescription.

raise your arm about your chest and pinch your nipple tightly. if there is a lump is actual gyno and not pseudogyno. also as it progress a network of lumps would form around the main gland. dutasteride gave me gyno. antiestrogens can control it but youd probably need to use them indefinitely. they say you can use DHT gel topically to control the symptoms as well, but i dont think id do that unless i was also using an androgen receptor antagonist like RU58841.

fred, they dont show up as side effects in the data sheet that the pharmacist gives with the medication, but i wouldnt be surprised. it appears all these enzymes are doing things for brain function. with letro you wouldnt need to use it daily to control your estrogen. with ralox you would because its half life is less than the aromatase inhibitors

but if one is concerned with long term antiestrogen use all you can do is really try to lower your finasteride dose or get the thing cut out or apply DHT gel to the lump topically and add an AR antagonist topically to your scalp to prevent any that DHT that goes systemic from ****ing your hair up.. but at that point idk what value finasteride has...
