hair concealers in ANY situation?

hi, i am maybe somewhere around NW2.5 or less, my hairline still looks fine but thinning. i was thinking to use a concealer for the hair just for times i go out at nights etc so i can style my hair. maybe with my hair standing and pointing upwards. what works best for that - toppik? dermmatch?

what happens if i am in, eh, let's call it intimate situations with another person. i don't want those fibers or that cream to be detected at the least appropriate times! did anyone who tried can say he found them to be reliable?

If thinning is your only issue and you're concerned about the concealer coming off while you're getting it on with some girl, maybe you should try a spray like Prothik. You just have to be careful when applying it so that it doesn't end up on bare skin. It definitely gives your hair a thicker appearance and won't come off easily. Just be careful not to over do it. It can have kind of a dulling effect, so using a shine enhancing hair spray afterwards would be a good idea.

Todd, is that stuff more realistic than the fibres, why would you use it over them? By the way, did you start with Propecia yet?

I wouldn't say it's more realistic than the fibers, but it won't come off as easily. You just can't use it like hairspray. That was a mistake I made at first. Just use quick, brief bursts until you get the look you want. It can make your hair stiff and dull if you use too much. And yeah, I'm back on propecia and rogaine.

How is it for you, why did you stop taking it?
Because I finally threw up my hands and shaved my head.
I regretted that decision very quickly...
I just take the min and finasteride now to try and maintain what hair I still have.

Is it only maintaining rather than regrowth? I'm down the docs this afternoon for finasteride, but disappointed I didn't get on it 5 years ago! Fed up with these concealers

Well, my wife says my hair looks thicker. The problem is that sometimes people close to you will say those kinds of things just to make you feel better. If there has been any regrowth, it's modest at best. But keep in mind that I didn't really start using minoxidil and finasteride until after my hairloss had been ongoing for several years and was significant. If I'd began with that stuff in my late twenties when I first started losing my hair, that might have made a difference. Unfortunately, minoxidil was still available only by prescription back then and kind of expensive and the use of finasteride for hair regrowth hadn't yet began. At that time, I didn't have the income to justify even using the rogaine. What I have noticed is that I have the same amount of hair now that I did several years ago when I first started with the min and finasteride. If that stuff didn't work at least when it comes to stopping hairloss, I'd surely be in a lot worse shape by now that I am.

Dude, I'm almost 42 and have experienced none of the side effects some people talk about. No sexual dysfunction here.
I don't know what else you've heard about it, but speaking for myself, I haven't had any ill effects from using propecia. If you read stuff on the internet, you can always find people saying all kinds of stuff about almost any medication. My doctor prescribed me Lunesta for sleep and I almost didn't use it because of all the things I read. But I did begin using it and all it does is help me sleep. Besides, if you take the propecia and end up getting side effects you can't deal with, you can always stop taking it.

:agree: I know.
There are so many other drugs out there that are potentialy much more dangerous yet are taken in much higher numbers. The female contraceptive pill for instance.
Theres so much internet scare mongering over this, no guys should be scared to try finasteride. I've been on it for over 6 yrs and when I started I was'nt aware of any potential sides and guess what? I did'nt get any. But if you go into this looking for sides you'll convince yourself.
The Dr I get mine from has been on it for over 13 years.

And I'd be willing to be that the majority of men complaining about finasteride making them sexually dysfunctional are guys in their, shall we say, advanced years who probably would have had some problems in that area regardless. It's funny, but some guys are scared that going bald will hinder them from getting laid, but then are afraid of taking propecia because of the extremely slight chance that it might make them impotent...
