Hello i am 21 years old. My hairline has been slowly receding since i was 14. I have a good amount of hair on my head but my hairline is trash.

i started looking into ways to possibly regrow it and stop my hair from falling out. I found out about “forhims” and signed up. I started taking finasteride.

in the beginning i had hair fall out like crazy. I knew that it was the old hairs that were going to fall out any so I didn’t mind. I’ve been on it for about 8-9 months with no results really.

Just a few weeks ago i started noticing my hair on the top of my scalp falling out alot. Whenever i would run my fingers through my hair i would see 3-5 stuck in between my fingers each time.

i just don’t understand why or what happened . I never stopped taking it. I would miss a day here and there but never more than 1 at a time. It’s very concerning. Please help if you know of any answers

Usually finasteride is working for years...maybe it’s a another shedding? Do you see your hairline receding again?

no it’s not my hairline. I have yet to see results for that but it’s my scalp that is shedding hard. Just the same as the beginning. I talking to the doctor on forhims and he said to stop completely and talk to a dermatologist

Same thing happened to me. I gave it 20 months and finally gave up on it after the shedding continued with no end in sight. It INCREASED my body hair (it's supposed to do the opposite) and sebum increased too. So I switched to oral minoxidil right after, and my shedding got under control.
