I've only ever used Rogaine in my life. Im NW1.5 and was NW1 last year.

Last year, I lost my temples, used Rogaine for 1.5 months, and it grew back rapidly.

I stopped using it... From there on... to now.. especially the past few months, basically I've lost hair like a mofo, to put it bluntly.

My crown area looks like the whole thing is gonna fall out... my temples receded again and the whole top has thinned out so much (where I've never used Rogaine), it is probably 50% of the density it was last year.. keeps shedding too. I lose around 400+ hairs a day.

Does anyone have ANY idea why this would happen. Im using minoxidil now (for past 2-3 weeks) for my temples.

Whats happened since last rogaine last year:
1. Snake bite in New Zealand - doctor stuck a needle in me, don't know what it was, prolly some anti-venom.
2. Rogaine for 1.5 months then quit.
3. Gained rapid weight (may have been from Rogaine or got McCrazy when got back from New Zealand)
4. Could it be Natural extremely quick male pattern baldness?

Before you guys jump on the snake bite, any other suggestions? Do you think this hair will grow back if its shed due to any of these factors?

after looking at your pics is seems to be number 4, natural male pattern baldness. I am going through the same things, my hair is getting worse and i just wonder will it ever get better. Look into further treatments as well as rogain
Goodluck and keep me updated

It is well known that once you quit Minoxidil you will lose your hair back to where it would be had you never used it. To keep the results you must contiunue using minoxidil.

You shouldn't have quit minoxidil. It's the first thing they tell you when you start using it -- "Any results you achieve will be lost if you stop using it".

You don't have anyone/anything to blame but yourself.

Get back on treatments and pray that you haven't screwed yourself good and proper.

Quite possibly the minoxidil was being absorbed under your skin and was affecting a wider area than you put it on.

Like when i apply minoxidil to the top of my head yet my eye brows and chest hair increased in density.

from the graphs i've seen most of the shed hair will grow back. when you quit minoxidil you get a massive shed, and then it eventually goes back to baseline

HairCoverage: I am in the same boat as you. I used minoxidil fairly regularly for several months. Got thru the initial shed, then started shedding again when my usage got fairly irregular. I quit altogether and have been shedding badly ever since (probably 4 months now). Lost a ton of density. I'm just on propecia now (1 month) and still shedding crazy. I don't know if it's male pattern baldness or just a shed.
