Has anyone else experienced excessive hair loss post accutane treatment? Started losing hair like crazy after my treatment finished and have been off the drug 3 years and still losing extreme amounts of hair daily. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Have also heard from a lot of people that accutane accelerates male pattern baldness.

As far as I know Accutane can cause telogen effluvium during treatment. Accelerating male pattern baldness is not in the medical literature. Your genes are probably the culprit if you've been off the drug for years.
There is this guy on youtube though that said he went through something similar and he provided a picture of his temple during his hair loss/thinning post accutane and it clearly looked like male pattern baldness, as it was showing recession of his temple but his hair grew back to nearly perfect. He also said it lasted up to 3-4 years post accutane. I provided a picture of his thumbnail from his video. Tell me what you think
