So, kinda new to this forum. Pretty sure this has been asked before many times. But i really couldn't find much information online about it. I'm a 22m, and about 4 months ago my hair started falling out like crazy. I did have a thining hairline, but i never gave it a second thought. Almost right away, i started using Finasterid, but with almost no luck. After two months, I hopped on dutastetid as well, and i have been using both, together for four months. And my hair is still getting progressively worse. Does anyone else experience that ? I was thinking about going bald, but i do look very bad, and i don't have much facial hair to compensate.

Why choose to take finasteride in the first place if you're not prepared to give it time to work?

Your case is not typical because common baldness is not so crazy, maybe telogen shock or similar,
stress can act so.
An example, in chemotherapy hairs falling quickly but can regrowth naturally passing time.

I would think so, but my temples are getting noticeably worse, i mean if i just had general hair loss, i wouldn't worry that much.

I don't think I'm going to get my hands on minoxidil. But i will be able to get Finasterid, but still the kind, that's used to threat prostate cancer. Some people microdose it, but not all pills you cad cut.

I would try dutasteride topically. You don’t want to nuke your serum DHT

You have to give finasteride more than 2 months to tell if it's working. 6 months minimum, or by 8 months in most cases. Some cases can take 1 year to notice results.

So there's actually a relation between serum and scalp dht? Most of the people say that dutastetid is superior period. At least that's what read.
dutas doesnt inhibit dht directly, it inhibits the 5ar enzyme so i guess the train of thought with topical dutas inhibits 5ar in the scalp causing less dht in the scalp while minimising presence in blood but i dont really understand how that works tbh

When you get on any drug that works , there’s an initial shedding phase where the weak hairs will fall out. Minoxidil/finasteride/Dutasteride all will do this.

2 months in on finasteride, you would’ve been shedding.

Also the response people have with drugs is so different. finasteride made me have shedding phases throughout the year and now I am stable. 2 months is nothing in hair terms.

Dutasteride causes huge Spike in testosterone. Serum and scalp testosterone Compared to finasteride dont ever use dutasteride. Testosterone also cause thinning hair not just dht trust and believe.

Yeah which probably converts to DHT anyways once it reaches the IF unit. We just can’t measure it

yeah but surely the testosterone created is less harmful to your hair than the dht it's blocking right?
