Hello everybody!
So today I was on the internet, just watching some videos and I accidentally stumbled on some hair loss videos/topics, and little by little it brought me to this forum.
I will try to keep my story short with a couple of pictures.
So let's start. I've been fat my whole life. Since I was a little kid and basically I didn't do anything about it until I was 20 years old. At the end of the year 2016, I cut out carbs and sugars from my life.
So this was me in November 2016 on the first day of starting my weight loss, and that's my hair. For most of my life, I had a head full of hair. My barber always had to thin it out. I'm sorry I don't have a better picture but I didn't like taking pictures at that time and most of my life. I am 20 years old in this picture almost 21.
This one was one year before in October 2015. Again sorry for the low quality. Couldn't find anything better.
This one was two and a half months into my weight loss in September 2016, already lost around 20kg's/45pounds.
This one is a year later July 2017
And another year later May 2018.
And this one was in March 2019. Here and a couple of months before I started to notice that my hair was really thin and missing. And I started to feel self-conscious about it. I kept it going for a whole year or a little bit less before I started to shave it out.
And this is me today February 2021, 24 years old almost 25.
I've gone to the doctor after my weight loss and I was alright and I still am and I am keeping the weight off. But I never went to the doctor about my hair. I just thought that's how it had to be.
So I'm just looking for some advice. Is there anything to stop it from progressing further or do you think it's too late for that and I should just keep shaving it off? Looking forward to your answers.
If I forgot to mention something, feel free to ask I will try to answer it as best as I can.
Best regards to everybody!
