Hair Loss Has Continued And Just Completed 3 Months Of finasteride

Hi everyone,

I've just finished my 3rd bottle of 1mg finasteride. It seems that I am shedding more than I ever have and it looks like everything is thinning out. Before I started taking it I simply had recession on one side but now it is starting to look like the other temple is receding. Has anyone had any similar experiences and gained this lost hair back? I've read quite a bit about finasteride shedding, however I'm sure every scenario is different.

I'm considering setting up an appt. with a hair loss specialist this coming week but if I should wait longer and see if the finasteride starts to work I would prefer that. I've already invested 3 months into this so I would love for finasteride to at least stop the continued loss. I'm really freaking out about it!

sam here.. was shedding a lot before, but its even more now. Loose hair everywhere on my head(sides, crown, front)
Im on finasteride since 2 weeks now

I’ve been on for 4 months and I’m thinner than ever. I think I’m losing less in the shower though. Still going to ride it out and see what happens.

Nope still using the same brand as when I started. It almost seems like one area is thicker and the rest is thinner. I don’t understand what’s going on! Maybe it’s just part of the shedding/growth cycle as the finasteride does its job?

Two years...On finasteride..First year I noted a loss... Last 4 months...It's spring...I Love me some finasteride. DO NOT GIVE UP! Give it at least two years...

I am two months in and I feel like it’s the worst decision I’ve made. Hope something turns around. Shed got worse and my hairline that was still holding strong at 41 is decimated. The hair quality is awful.

Even worse the thinning is everywhere so it’s not just recession.

Because I’m starting to bald not bald enough yet? WTF losing hair is losing hair at 20, 30, 50 it all sucks and it is all proportional.

It would be nice if unhelpful comments such as these were not made. I've received these types of comments and they do nothing for anyone. Just my 2 cents.
