Hair Loss Support Group in NorCal, December 17th

To those interested (taken from MSN Wig Support):

"We meet at the Women's Resource Center at CPMC Cal-East Campus. For those of you familiar with 'old SF' this is in the old Marshall-Hale Hospital on California St. The parking is EASY!!!!!! Lots of FREE parking in the Laurel Village Shopping Center half a block away....usually close street parking as well...so there you go...no excuses! The cost is just $5.

The address is: 3698 California St. the cross street is Spruce...Most of all, this is our meeting and it's a great, safe place to laugh, cry, share, etc. One may participate as much or as little as they want. We share all sorts of tips w/each other and we meet bi-monthly now."

I was told on the phone that the next meeting will be on Wednesday, Dec 17th, at 7:00 PM, I will try and make it.

I'm on the east coast at the moment so I won't be able to make it... But it sounds like such a great idea. Can you post after you attend and let us know of future ones? I would definitely like to go.

Hi Teester,

Unfortunately I do not know of other support groups around the country for Androgenetic Alopecia sufferers (although there are many for those with alopecia areata).

I would really like to get some started, but I'm at a loss as to how. If/when I go to the meeting, I will ask those who attend how they formed it.

No I unfortunately was not able to go. A gal who runs it said there were too few people that meeting. The next one is in Feb. and I plan on going. Will let you know how it goes!
