Hair only grows/thickens when the scalp is itchy when using Rogaine ?

Anyone else had this pattern? when I initially started using Rogaine, it was super itchy, but it worked really well, I saw results after the first few months, however, after my body got used to the chemicals, the itchy stopped, and the growth also stopped. so i started using it again after I stopped for several months, and the itchiness returned, this time it lasted much shorter and the results were little to none, I ended up with good results on 1 side and little to none growth on the other side...


Note: growth here means the miniaturized hair became thicker and longer, obviously, its impossible to grow hair on a completely bald spot

I guess thats what i am trying to find out from other people's experiences, personally, my hair grew when the scalp was really itchy, but this could just because when its itchy I tend to scratch it more, causing more blood flow to the scalp which is definitely a good thing for your hair, although, i can see too much scratching can be a bad thing
