Hair shedding thickness question

Hi guys,

I've always had really fine hair, but as I've aged, it's become even finer. This is to the extent that the hairs I was shedding were almost colourless and had no strength to them.

I've been on finasteride (as well as minoxidil and nizoral) for around 6 months, and in that time the hairs I shed have become darker and thicker, with more strength and a slight curl to them (they were all straight before). Am I correct in assuming that this is a good sign?

I know that as hairs shed, we hope for them to be replaced by thicker hairs, so is it likely that this is a sign of my hair improving? Any input from someone with more experience would be really appreciated!

Try not to pay attention to shed hairs, I know it's difficult. What's important is what is on your head.. These medications cause hair growth cycles to resynchronise so you will notice hair strands of varying conditons fall off
