Hair spray and hair gel

I used ALOT of hairspray when I was from like 10-21. I'm 23 now. I was pretty obsessive with my looks before (hence: all that hairspray). Sometimes it would burn putting it on. Is it possible the alcohol in the hairspray could of permanently destroyed my follices??? Or was I destined for male pattern baldness regardless? I havent used hairspray in months....hoping things go back to normal?

I have used hair GLUE for the past two years. I've had a faux-hawk. Let me tell you, I'll post some pictures of my hair and you'll be amazed that i have any left. Seriously though... i think treating your hair like crap only speeds up hair loss, but doesn't cause it. You're genetics have you doomed anyway.

I think if you are going to put styling products on your hair,use brands specifically that deal with fine/thinning hair.I use Progaine(made by the makers of Rogaine),Nioxin also sell some styling products for people like us.They probably don't have all the harsh chemicals in them.
