Hair Systems In Nj/nyc Area; Suggestions?

So I started receding/diffuse thinning about 10 months ago, long story short, the loss has been aggressive and I feel as though I’ve lost around 50% density in all, if not more.

I’m only 21, so I figured a hair system would be my best bet, especially since they’ll only get cheaper/better from here, right?

I’m completely clueless as to where to start here, and, since I’m a low-income college student, I want to do this right; therefore, I want to get at least my first system/cut-in in person with a professional.

Do any of you guys have any suggestions for anywhere in the NJ or NYC area?

My big thing is that a lot of sites I check out for local places only show results for older men who tend to have more conservative (high hairline, low density) systems. I want something resembling my full hairline that I had a couple of months ago (long, low hairline, dense, messy, wavy). Also, I still have a good amount of hair on my top, just a lot of patchy spots widening quickly and pretty much lost a lot of my front, forehead-covering hair. Also, I live a very active and busy lifestyle, so I’d ideally be interested in something I could sweat in and leave on for around a month without having to re-bond.

Thanks! Additionally, I’ll also take any advice as to where to start if you suggest I avoid the middle-man and learn the tricks myself! Just a little nervous about jumping into that.

I rarely come to this site, but I'm bored. I want to tell you what I did one day. I typed up a paragraph or two and explained that I wear a hairpiece and wanted to know if the salon in question knows how to cut them. Have you done a lot of them? Do you have a private room? and most importantly "how much do you charge for your services" you know, stuff like that. I then googled "hair salons (your town and state here) and went to every homepage of every salon within my town and some in the next. If they have a webpage they more than likely have a contact icon you can click to send them a message. I then cut and copied the message I typed up along with my phone number, email address, etc.. I received 4 responses. 3 of them said they know how to cut them and 1 even had a private room. Another said at the time they do not, but a couple of the people are going to be certified in this type of haircutting soon. I went to one of them, well she does know about them, but I think she is a little peeved because I don't buy my system from her. she only charged me 35 bucks and I give her a 10 dollar tip. She does not try to BS with me about the weather or crap like that and that is just fine, but she is getting sloppy with her cutting so I think I am going to go somewhere else in a couple of weeks.

One other thing, I have never nor will I EVER pay more than fifty bucks for a cutin. Anyone can leave the sides and back longer and go around with thinning shears. That takes them maybe 5 minutes and I don't think it deserves 200 dollars or whatever ridiculous price some of them want. Ill do it myself if I have to. I have done it and they came out pretty good, but its really easier to just let someone else do the work and cut both your natural hair and system hair at the same time. Bonding and dying I do myself.

Good Luck!!
