Hair Texture After Using Rogaine Foam

I have been using Rogaine Foam for about 2 months. My current process is I usually apply after I shower (Hair slightly wet). I apply the foam to the back of my head as well as through the rest of my scalp. Once dried my hair is stiff, waxy and almost impossible to style after.

Does anyone have any suggestions to avoid this? Is there a time frame where I shouldn't wet my hair again after applying?

Same happens to me, but if I run my fingers through it enough it isn't as stiff and actually looks quite thick. I find if you be methodical, you can minimize the amount that gets in your hair and you won't have the issue to begin with.
