Hey, just a question, ive noticed all my shed hairs are thinner towards the root which i would think is a bad thing, but then i noticed this happens to body hair aswell...

Does anyone know more about this?

Thank you.

I've scoured the forums for answer on this and only found a few threads about it, which is unfortunate, because I am thinking that this would give a heads up that one's treatment is not working before waiting a year. I've been on 1.25 mg finasteride ed and minoxidil twice daily for fifteen months and I am way below baseline in hair count and hair shaft diameter. Almost every hair that I shed is thinner towards the root.

Some people claim that this (search exclamation point hairs) indicates another type of hairloss, Alopecia Areata, but I think it also happens in regular male pattern baldness. I think it is just very aggressive hair-loss.

Are you on any treatments?

Im on 1.25 finasteride and minoxidil.

The exclamation point hairs of alopecia areata the diference in thickness is a lot bigger i believe.
