I'm only about a NW2 but w/diffuse thinning in the front.

Anyway, yesterday I was super depressed about my thin bangs (which I've had for many years and only recently have thinned out). I recently started Rogaine Foam on the hairline so of course I immediately thought the slightly thinner than normal appearance was due to the foam shed.

However today I got out of the shower (no shampoo), blow dried my hair, and then put hair wax in on the bangs and holy crap - it almost looks like I haven't lost any hair at all. 100% improvement from yesterday. I left the house feeling like a million bucks, whereas yesterday I couldn't stop thinking about how bad it looked.

Does anybody else use it? The stuff really is amazing. I use Garnier Fructis Surf Hair....probably not the best but I figured hair wax is hair wax.

Anyway...I friggin love this stuff and I urge anyone who still has a decent amount of hair to give it a try. It will definitely thicken the appearance of your hair to no end.

I used wax/mess up gum for a very long time. One day I was out of gel and I used my ex girlfriends wax and I loved it, so I stayed with it for 4-5 years. They are good. I still have a few of them in the house.

Lately, I've been using them less and less. The problem with the wax for me is that my hair looks very bad in the mornings. I think the wax takes a different shape during the night, by the morning my hair is all over the place. Without wax, I can wake up style my hair quickly and leave the house, with the wax I need to shower every morning.

These days, I apply a small amount of gel to make sure my hair doesn't stand up and off I go.

When it comes to "bangs" or any hair in the front rather, the trick for people with thinning hair is to use the least amount of water and keep that area relatively dry when you style it. That means no heavy gels(contain lots of water .. ect). Personally, I've tried wax before and it's ok. My barber actually uses wax when he finishes cutting my hair and it looks surprisingly good at times. For some reason when I do it it doesn't come out the same. The thing I don't like about wax is that it's dry and when my barber styles it he pulls and yanks at it very haird.. I don't like that. When I style my own hair I use soft pomades and cremes on my dry hair to style it up. Still need to use a little concealer, sometimes less than others but I haven't minded so far.
