what do you all do re: haircuts?? do you still get them when youre losin hair or try and grow it out to cover up the loss??

my hair is disappearin fast and it looks really bad so im wonderin what to do. i always used to go to the shop and get a cut, and i keep my hair short. the barbershop is 30 seconds walk from where i live at but i havent been in a long time just out of embarassment. i

feel like maybe i should shave it off but i have a weird head-shape and think shavin it or a bald fade would look horrible on me. the type of cut i usually get will look bad too since my hairline is completely effed up, my temples real high and now my hairline is pushed up on my forehead from where it was a yr ago

this is the basic style i used to get.....couldnt find exact but this was the closet pic i could find:

I've found that, when I grow my hair out longer than 1 inch, I have more to style with so it looks 'cooler', but it's almost impossible to make the temple recession on my right side look acceptable (the left side isn't so bad).

Now, I constantly cut it to 1 inch on top, and 3/4 inch on the sides, with the hair combed down. It doesn't look as 'cool' as it is when longer, but it's a hell of a lot less stressful, especially when it's windy, etc.

Just buy some hair clippers and cut it yourself if you're embarrassed about others doing it.

My advice is that growing it out too long may end up looking worse, especially when sheds happen; the hair just looks so flat and wispy.
