My name is Ricardo and I am 20 years old and Im struggling with my hairline for 1.5 year now.
3 months ago i have visited the dermatologist for a look. She said I had nothing to worry about. But I like to hear more from people with their own experience. She said treatments were too expensive for my age and if I would go bald it would fit me. After she said this I didn”t want to believe her words anymore. She said that I am not balding.
I was still stressing after this and I decided to hop on minoxidil. I used it for 3 months, no more hairloss, but then the 4th month came and my scalp was itching after I applied minoxidil since then.(I do only once before sleep). So now I”m losing about 10- 40 hairs per day since I stopped minoxidil, the itching was gone(I guess it looked like minoxidil gave me dandruff) while using minoxidil like 10-20 hairs per day. I noticed that it i usually lose hair at my temples. I always had a high hairline.
my father has good hair, my grandpa did go bald in his 40’s. My mothers dad bald when he was 20 (I’ve read that your mothers dad is usually the one you should look at). My brother is 22 and has a nw2.5. My other half-brother from 24 has the same hairline as me (his dad is completly bald). So I have very bad hair genetics except if I have my dads hair. He also said to me that he experienced hairloss and always had the same hairline as me at my age.
Here are some photo’s. At the bald spots there are still many very thin blonde hairs (babyhair I guess).
What can I do now? Because the doctor said nothing to worry about. Can I do somethinf about the itchy minoxidil? Use another brand?
