Hairline/Temple Receders - liquid application Q

Im interested to hear how you guys apply minoxidil liquid to your hairline / temples?

I use the dropper like a "pen" to "draw" the liquid (or sometimes jab the tip) onto my scalp up to 1 or 2cm in from my hairline, or in the case of the temple wherever it looks like its thinning. I then rub the liquid in, though it seems that quite a bit of it goes on my hair so I give it a second coat with the pen method but I dont rub it in. (the liquid does not really run as its not enough to gather mass)

I use 1m per application.

How does my method sound?

I have found that the best way to apply a liquid at your hairline is a q-tip! I now actually use a q-tip to apply minoxidil in my whole head. Its not that easy for the rest of your head but i do it because it makes me feel sure i have applied it everywhere. But you should definately try it on hairline it works wonders!

Sounds interesting, might give it a try. How saturated do you live your scalp? I find that the generic brand minoxidil liquid I use dries quite quickly so its quite a bit difficult to determine how well i saturated an area, unless I leave it really wet.

Actually, from what I can understand, you want the minoxidil to be absorbed, so just leaving it saturated on the surface and letting it dry is probably wasting it.

I normally keep messaging it in, One step better is to apply it to a slight damp scalp. Not completely wet hair, like after a shower and you just dry your head with a towell.

Yah, left hand side of my hairline is getting quite diffuse (shed I hope), while part of the bald area is getting new growth. Been on it 9 weeks. Right hand side of my hairline has remained unchanged.

Yah In the morning I apply it to a towel dried hair, massage it in then give a second coat just for good measure. Im kinda afraid that massaging in the second coat will just make it disappear into my hair. When the liquid is finished I will get foam so it will be easier to apply I hope.

No you are not. I do the exactly same thing, and i have been reassured by my derm that is ok.

I use a small cup (the one that is on rogaine bottle when you just open it) and spray 7-8 times in it(yes i use more than 1ml). I then deep the q-tip inside it and apply it all over my head. I gently push the q-tip againist my scalp and "draw" a line until the q-tip is out of liquid. Repeat.

BTW i had to wiki what a q-tip is, the time i first heard about it
