I've been using proscar for about 2 months and have just noticed today that my hairline is thickening and I have a couple of new hairs coming out... my widows peak is also starting to come back in.

me too man, and lots of other people have experienced the same thing.

it's the toughest area to regrow so if you're getting new hairs there consider yourself very fortunate.

My thing too, for 12 months, but slow, yet creeping up.

Yep I'm a little excited but I am thinking of starting minoxidil what do you guys think? Should I wait a year and see if theres anymore improvement or should I just go all out with it?

i'd give it the full year. minoxidil will be just as effective in a year, and that way you can attribute the results to each drug accurately. patience is key.

Ray777, I agree with Jayman. Wait a year and then decide about your next steps. I am 3 months on finasteride and won´t make any major changes in my regimen until the one year mark. I also want to save minoxidil for the day when finasteride alone won´t work for me anymore. Good Luck!

I've been on Fincar 1/4's for a few weeks now and so far no side effects. I am hoping to get some results within a year, and if not i'll crank it up a notch with minoxidil.

I'm 19 and I have been on proscar for just over 2 months now too and my hair line is really starting to thicken up too. It's pretty cool. Im assuming im responding so well because Im so young.

Are you thinking of Inflamil (spelling?) from Lipoxidil?

Quoting "hair_tomorrow":

"2x daily applications of tricomin and a before bed application of emu oil. They're both considered to be anti-inflammatories"
