My hairloss started after I changed my job at the age of 26. In the new job I had massive amount of work to do every single day and had lots of pressure to deal with. I was not getting enough sleep and smoked a ton of cigarettes. I felt exghausted and drowsy all the time and in 5 months I went from a solid Norwood 0 to a norwood 2 diffuse thinning.
WTF? Guys, is it normal? How old were you when you first notice hairloss?

I was 24 but did not have the stress you described. Have you eliminated the stress and cigarettes?

Yes. I changed my job again 4 months ago and now I am not as stressed as I used to be. Feel much more relieved right now.
I've totally quit smoking for a month.
My hair is slowly getting back but I think I will never be able to have that norwood 0 again.
It is like once your Androgenetic Alopecia is triggered, it will be with you forever.

You could potentially get your hair back with minoxidil and an anti-androgen. It won't come back on its own.

Yeah it's very normal. There was even a guy in one of my classes in college who was NORWOOD FIVE in our freshman year. Absolute brutality. Now that isn't normal, but norwood 2 at 26 is pretty common.

Norwood 2 at 26 is normal but suddenly going from norwood zero to norwood 2 in like 4-5 months or even shorter period of time, at the age of 26, isn’t the process too aggressive? It feels like some certain genes have been activated and can never be muted any more

Idk tbh. I went norwood 1.5 at 20 I think (possibly even earlier) and I have been stuck there since. I'm 23 now. So it is possible to randomly norwood a little bit and then have it just stop for years I guess.
