Hairstyles and barbers...some q's

Anyone know of a website, or somewhere to get info on hairstyles for balding men? Mine is starting to progress to the point where some guys are doing the comb-over...and I refuse.

Also, is there a directory or does anyone know how to find a barber or hairstylist that actually knows what they are doing when cutting hair on a thinning/balding head? I keep getting the worst haircuts. I'm in NY, I'm located anywhere from Westchester up to Dutchess, and also in Northern Jersey...any input would help.

I was watching a program where they were making over this dood who has thinning hair. At first the guy had shorter than average length hair with his hair going kinda forward so his bangs would cover his receding hairline. The barber/hairstylist told him that this is a common mistake that most guys with thinning hair do.

He then buzzed his hair with a pretty long guard (4 or 5 maybe) and trimmed his bangs to make it look like his hair was thicker around hairline. Think of it kind of like layering his hairline. When he was finished, I must say that it looked a hell of a lot better than his old haircut. It really does a good job hiding thinning hair.
