Hey, I was looking for some feedback from other diffusers out there about how you style your hair, products you use, other tips? I have no recession, just thin hair on the front and crown male pattern baldness pattern. Here's some stuff I can share, note my hair is straight and fine:

Style 1: I can pull off the buzzcut fine and it doesn't look like I'm losing my hair to anyone but other hairloss sufferers. However, I get sick of that style as it gives me a wannabe gangsta look that's not really me. If you have the headshape, and don't mind the look, buzz it to a 1 on the sides and back, and a 2 or 3 at the top.

Style 2: The comb-forward. This is about the most boring haircut you can possibly have, but it'll do the job of hiding hairloss. The sides and back of your hair are trimmed a bit shorter. The top is the longest, with the front bangs slightly shorter.

The reason for the shorter bangs is so you don't have to style it up, the hairs will just stick forward...too long and you get a lame "chili bowl" haircut, not good.

Just wash, the blowdry your hair forward, flattening it for coverage, and hairspray to keep it in place. Use a brush with a lot of teeth to spread out your hairs more and give you better coverage. Warning- if the wind messes up your hair, it looks horrible.

Style 3: The illusion of volume semi-comb over. Your hair will be slightly longer all over then Style 2. Wash with Aveda, towel almost dry, blow dry cool, with your head down while using your fingers to tease your hair. Lift your head back up and your hair will be sticking up.

Get some hair clay/putty/wax whatever and run it through the top all over. Blow dry again hot, still styling it all up, and use a fine tooth brush if you get too many see through spots. Now this is the tricky part:

Style it to one side slightly, whichever is more natural for you. You can use a defined part or just blend it, whatever fits your style more. You also start to gently style the hair on top, a bit more forward, but don't flatten it. In the front it looks like the hair is sticking up but leaning to one side. On top it looks like the hairs come forward, but the curve to the side, matching the front. Spray to keep in place. You can repeat the process with more wax, blowdry, spray to get it even thicker...but it gets harder to style and manage.

For an example check out the Asian actor from Flash Forward, except with the top hair pushed a bit more forward for "shading"
