Hello!
I’m posting here to get some valuable advice and answers from you!
Context:
I’m 32 years old today, and I’ve been losing my hair for about 7 years (the moment I became aware of it).
It’s a fairly “slow” hair loss, mainly located on the crown and temples.
People around me don’t really notice it (for the most part), and they’re surprised by my desire to have a hair transplant.
I have very thick and curly hair.
I’m now convinced I want to have a transplant in the coming months (this winter) because I feel like it’s noticeable, and it bothers me.
I went for a quote, and they offered me:
3,100 to 4,500 grafts for 4,250 euros.
They are very optimistic because of the good donor area, thick hair, and “impressive” regrowth.
If I want to do it in two stages, they recommend focusing on the crown before the temples.
Opinion:
I think the quote is reasonable.
However, and I know this may surprise some, I feel like the transplant on the crown area is a bit beyond what I’m expecting because, with thick and curly hair, my areas are relatively easy to cover (which is why no one really notices my hair loss).
I was thinking of having a smaller transplant that would cover the temples a bit more (without advancing too much), and the crown, without aiming for a perfect result (I like my temples, they’re just too receded right now).
Advice:
>Does my view on the transplant make sense?
>Do I seem like a good “patient”?
>Also, and this is the biggest obstacle to my decision right now: how do people manage the regrowth (and shedding) period in their professional life?
I know that outside of work, a hat will help to cover up, but at work?? I just can’t understand how people manage the 3-4 months with difficult regrowth?
>Will the fact that my hair grows quickly in the donor area + my hair type make this period easier?
Thank you so much in advance for the time you’ll take to read and reply to me!

Quote and opinion :I want to clarify that I’m not obsessed with it, and I’m handling it quite “well.”
I’m not expecting a miracle, I don’t want to get all my hair back, I just want to improve the situation as much as possible.
