Ocean water won't affect your dermatch, it might only diminish it's density slightly.
I think the same thing would occur at the beach, maybe you should take some with you when you go there.

I just started using dermamatch a few months ago and have gone swimming several times this summer in pools, not the ocean. Much to my delight, the Dermamatch stays put. After an hour or more of swimming with my head under the water much of the time, it fades a bit. That's all.
