Has anyone here benefitted from natural DHT blockers/anti-androgens?

I'm taking hair/skin/nail supplements, herbs that promote estrogen and testosterone, vitamins, minerals, DHT blockers, etc. All this stuff is natural but am wondering how effective any of it is against androgenetic alopecia? What are the supplements you've found effective for your own personal situation of hair regrowth (if any)? I tried both Finasteride and Dutasteride and had bad side effects from both and don't want to go back on them if I can help it.

I took a hair, skin and nail supplement for years. It did make my hair and nails grow faster that's for sure. I stopped because it also made hair everywhere else grow faster and thicker.

Which one did you take? I wonder why Nutrafol is so popular though? I don't see what's different about it compared to any other skin, hair and nails supplement. They run $88 a bottle! I take several skin, hair and nails supplements. They may help slightly but not significantly. My problem is the hair loss, my age and genes. It seems very stubborn no matter what I do, nothing wants to give to improve my situation. I'm going for a nanofat and PRP treatment next month, maybe will do low level laser therapy too. If that doesn't work then I give up until hair multiplication comes (whenever that will be). When hair multiplication comes (if ever) the challenge will be finding someone who takes the time to get the hair angled correctly and fills it densely into the thinned sections enough to make the result look great. There's no way in hell I would do a transplant. The temples according to the doctors are my biggest issue. They tell me that I could move my hairline down a little but getting back fully they think is likely impossible. The vertex and crown they say can definitely be completely fixed up with the stem cell procedure. I only wish I felt as confident as they do. The other situation is women respond better to the nanofat and PRP procedure than men but most men notice decent improvement as well. I tried Finasteride and Dutasteride but the meds got me feeling sick. I might also need to get someone who deals in hormones to look at my situation as this surely is affecting my situation. There is an imbalance I'm sure. This is all going to run a bundle. The nanofat/PRP session is costing $8,000. Individual hormone therapy, heaven knows what that will run too. Hair is expensive to deal with and not guaranteed unfortunately.

If you were getting results from the skin hair and nails supplement, you don't believe the inconvenience of hair everywhere still makes it worth it?

It's Nature's Truth Hair, Skin and Nails that I used to take. I go through pill fatigue. I've been on finasteride for about 12 years and the same thing happens with me not taking it all the time. I stopped taking the vitamins a little after lockdowns started and still have 2 sealed bottles but your post made me think about it again. It could be a coincidence but I noticed that my skin isn't as clear as it used to be. My nails and hair don't grow as fast as it used to either.

You should read the posts on this site from people who got PRP before coughing up $8000.

Good luck.
