Has anyone used topical DHT inhibitors only?

Just wondering if anyone has had success with using topical DHT inhibitors like azelic acid and/or spirolactonone instead of finasteride?

Well I am experimenting with Evening Primrose Oil, rubbing it into my scalp at night. It contains lots of gamma linoelic acid, which is supposed to be a great inhibitor of 5-AR. I have been shedding a little the last few days, but I have only been going for 2 months, so I will report back a bit down the track to let you know how it's going.

Using Revivogen, also contains GLA and ALA, 3 months so far so good.
