As the title says.
Finasteride and nizoral isn't working for me. As a last ditch effort I'm debating trying rogaine.

I've heard stories of it making people's hair worse. Hair not regrowing after the shed.

What are you guys experiences?? Should I try it.

My loss is very aggressive and I'm losing in the nw7 pattern at 26.

Well, first you have to be in the 45% minority that responds well to the treatment. Then, the improvement of your hair is up to 25% of baseline. On top of that, they don't really know how minoxidil actually works. It supposedly stimulates blood flow to the scalp and synchronizes the phases of hair follicles. Over time, the results will become close to baseline anyway. It's only a certain period of time after the initial treatment that you could see a boom of hair growth, if you are a good responder.

Towards the end of my treatment, my hair was in a constant state of rapid cycle through the follicle phases, which resulted in constant shedding. I have since then quit, and I'm recovering well.

Well if it really is a last ditch effort then why not give it a go?

It'll likely give you some small regrowth, it might give you good regrowth, it might do nothing and there's a tiny chance that it makes it worse. (If it works and you quit it'll make your hair worse, for a while at least)

Yes, cold turkey. I don't recommend it, but you do recover. You need 6-9 months to fully recover, maybe a full year depending on your hair. So, you have to be patient.

After a month's use, my hair is the same, but my skin totally sucks. I am beginning to realize that Minoxidil is not worth the pain.

Yes, it has. f*****g useless foam. Unfortunately I can use only this due to scalp irritation.

I don't remember if we talked about you trying the PG-free, sensitive scalp liquid formula? The liquid irritated the f*** out of my scalp, but this one doesn't at all.

What do you guys mean by "recover"?

The time between quitting minoxidil and returning to where you would've been if you never took it would be called 'recovery'. Some study suggested that it was 4 months, but in reality it's much longer.

Minoxidil will NOT make your hair worse. Pure nonsense that goes against 20 years of research
