It's all about how you're using it. Are we talking baseball cap with a suit in a law office, or what?
The key is to strategically "adjust" hats to signal that you're bald (if you are). I've done this multiple times with a beanie/cap/whatever if a woman is flirting with me and it solves the issue, if you're worried about "deceiving" people. Don't care if it pisses off other baldcels or dudes trying to control what I wear.
Haha, I had an elongated post stating just this about a month ago n the bald fraudcel police came running in, full finger wagging about how it was a horrible decision to do so.
I scare people at my uni when it rains and I hood myself. They cannot believe how good and young I look when my face is properly framed. Some don't even recognize me.
There are levels to the hood. I opt to wear mine far back if I wear it, similar to how this hoodcel does in the picture below. It's from when Post Malone choked Bieber (lol).

The point is not to hide baldness, it is to make the outfit work in the best way possible. Hats are exceptional accessories. If someone likes the way I look and talks to me because of that, I am not interested in hiding and will do what I can to make it clear that I'm bald.
