Have you been round the block? Tried it all?

Have you tried everthing with your hair loss, yet are still back to square one again?

I think I have.

Started off receding at first around 21 - was fine enough, a NW2 and was actually ok with it (if it stayed that way). 22-25 was fine, then seemed to speed up and thinning began as well. So I hid behind hats when I got the chance. I tried different hats - ball caps for summer, beanies for winter, grew my hair out and wore headbands for the receding hairline, even the classic douche move of sunglasses over the hairline.

So opted for concealers for a bit - a perfect stop gap. Didn't try the big 3, but did Regaine on/off - I should have stuck with it, but got lazy.

27 - hair was very bad, thinning and now NW3.5 which has remained. Got a hair system/wig - I lasted one day with it felt awkward and took it off. Although I used the wig and cut some hairline fillers in out of it, which I felt ok about as they sat at the front with my hair brushed over them with gel/wax.

Shaved my head that night. Had a shaved head for about 4 months - I got mixed reviews with it. I have big ears, but dark eyebrows that stick out, I was in great shape (I'm now about 14 pounds over weight). Still I felt about 45 years old - I couldn't wear half of my old surfer clothes and didn't even like wearing dress shirts as I felt like one of those PUA douches. Decided to grow the hair back - had a mohawk which was ok, it actually solved the balding issue for a while - (the Norwood 3 fine and thick) and the thinning at the back shaved off, but that was never going to be a look for me a long time. I felt way too old for something like that.

So then decided to grow the thinning dome back in. And now I'm near 30, and back to the start of wearing caps a lot for my work (no dress code) and the odd special occasion sparkingly some concealer in it.

Anyone else in the same boat? I don't think I'll ever be happy with either decision.

And you baldies who don't care, I envy the **** out of you.

Wow, you've done it all. As a thick Norwood 2-3 I haven't done much except a comb over and finasteride. I like the Mohawk idea, always brings a smile. In fact Norwood 7s should just get it all moved to a Mohawk! (joke). It seems like you're not at the point of no return so maybe a combination of medication and transplants can help you.

Lol @ the sunglasses move on the hair line, I have seen that in the past.

I guess I've been going 'around the block' with treatments. The medications I'm using to treat my male pattern baldness are: Dutasteride, Ketoconazole, Minoxidil, and RU58841.

It seems like the main things I'm missing from my regimen is a PGD2 inhibitor, a DKK-1 reducer, a CD34-positive cell enhancer, and a CD200-rich cell enhancer. With all that, phenomenal hair regrowth should occur.
