My Doctor gave me prescription to add Dianette (a type of birth control to add some estrogen). I feel like at this point my baseline is so bad I can't afford to lose more.

Are you still trying treatments or have you given up entirely?

Propecia didn't do anything for me apart from mild side effects - my hair loss continued at it the same slow rate. I stopped after a year and nothing changed.

I still take minoxidl even though I didn't regrow any hair - it made my beard loads thicker so I'm sticking to it until my four month supply runs out.

My hair loss is slow and I'm hoping not go beyond a nw3 for another 5-10 years (my family tend to lose a Norwood every decade) and hopefully there will be a cure with this decade.

man thats nice to lose at that slow rate. I am likley to be nw6 by 21.... really depressing. and the doctors don't want me to get on propecia yet because they don't think my hair loss is advanced enough, however everything I have read says that propecia is best used as a preventive measure.

I'm still on treatments, I have high hops for Brotzu and Histogen.

If you've stopped growing, propecia may be a good idea for you.

Have you considered RU 58851? People report fewer side effects.

I haven't really looked into RU much. Currently I am on nizoral and rogaine for about 9 months ( no improvement so far), although I am not losing hair at a fast rate (at the moment). My hair loss is not to advanced right now but the fact that I even have minor hair loss at my age (18) is troubling. I was kind of ready to get on propecia but all the doctors say that I should wait.

That's smart.

If I were female, I would take Estrogen, spironolactone, or more POTENT things they
give to males.

It might actually reverse your hairloss.

Best of luck to you.
