I did not because I was broke when I started, would rather just take the duta and hope for the best. Obviously it would be nice to have the piece of mind that it's working and lowering my DHT levels, but hey ho.

That guy's case is crazy tbh, there's no speculation anyone can really offer, he could be a case study. The drug is a very reliable at doing what it does in humans and I don't think you'll find many cases of this.

Very strange indeed. All the studies that have been done have shown that finasteride and dutasteride are very consistent in invariably inhibiting your DHT levels very potently. Maybe that guy had an extreme case of reflex hyperandrogenicity. Or maybe the second and the third hormone tests he took were both inaccurate. Seems unlikely that they would both be inaccurate, but not completely impossible. It is certainly very strange.

I did a lot of blood tests and have detailed DHT records:
Before ever taking finasteride: 41 ng/dL DHT
On Oral finasteride (1mg/day) : 11 ng/dL DHT
On topical finasteride (Morr-F) : 19 ng/dL DHT
Off finasteride for a month: 35 ng/dL DHT
