Sup, i opened a thread like in March or April i don't remember but, well, i only have an uncle with male pattern baldness the rest of my family is full of hair, i've seen 3 derms, the first 2 told me i was perfect, the 3rd is the best derm in the city and the only hair transplant doctor in the city too, so she analized my scalp under magnification and told me that i have "veery little" miniaturization, that i wasn't going bald and that the worse i could get was a "mature hairline" so i was confused but she seemed very expert in this topic so i don't know...

Here are som photos:

I emailed the last 3 pics with my hair buzzed to the derm and she said i look great and with no signs of male pattern baldness, also everyone says i look great and not balding, also.. more than 3 persons already told me i may have body body dysmorphic disorder, that would not surprise me since i have ocd and anxiety lol

So what do you think? The derm also rejected my request of prescribing me propecia or minoxidil, she said "i don't need them cuz i'm fine"...

Dude you have nothing to worry about. Looks like you're more likely to suffer from hypochondria than hairloss...

Comments please..?

I know i sound insistant and all but i really want opinions
When you have BDD, which you do, you tend to look for validation all the time and will sound insistent. From one BDD person to another, you have great hair. You are not balding. See the hair transplant Doctor yearly for evaluations but your hair is fine. Work on your BDD/OCD and you will not need as much validation as you need now.

Your hair will look like that if you shave it. It will show more scalp. Look at your hair before you shaved it. Your hair showed NO scalp when it was long. You have fine hair. It will show scalp when its short. I do too. With all honesty, you have BDD. Grow your hair out longer until you see less scalp.

No, i can't see any difference comparing the pictures now with then at 17 years old. Keep in mind that the hairline get slightly higher at almost everyone as they as they pass from teen years to adult years.
There's no sign of male pattern baldness!!
Yes, we can agree that your hair may be less full and less thick compared to other people, but that are just your hair characteristics since birth, i think. And your hair looks UNIFORM, has the same density all over, and that excludes male pattern baldness.
And if you want my opinion, I don't think you have BDD.
What about other family members(father, grandpas, uncles, etc)? Do they they have the same type of hair?

Hey man, thanks for answering.

Now that you mention it, i think i always had the hair kind of separated? Or less number of hairs...

About family, moms side grandpa died at late 60s with all his hair and just mature hairline and all my uncles from that side have hair, from my dad's side grandpa is 76 so he has some thinning on the crown because of age i think, one of my uncle from there's bald he started losing it at 35-40, the other one is 48-50 and is starting to thin a little in the crown.

As for my parents both have perfect hair, my dad's hair is super thick and my mom's ok.

If i had to say, i have the same type of hair of my mom, kind of redish and some other similarities, but i think i have more quantity than my parents and sis, is that good?

Hair looks fine. Mature hairline just means a little recession at the temples. Nearly everyone gets that whether you go bald or not.
