Hello guys, Around 6 months ago i started developing a small circular patch of beard loss along my jaw line besides my chin. Since then it has grown significantly and I have no idea what to do? I have been to the doctors and they have told me to leave it and it will get better. My father has had the same problem but his did grow back. It is probably genetic just want it to stop falling and grow back. Help? I have tried garlic ginger, onion hydrocortisone, oils? Any ideas? Especially guys who have recovered? Really dont want the steroid route given the sides.

Regrowth for spot baldness or alopecia areata (hair) or what you have alopecia barbae (beard) is sporadic I believe. You could have a dermatologist give you corticosteroid shots or use 5% minoxidil.

It grows back spontaneously, but two things that have been shown to work are steroids and derma rolling. There was a trial that used both in conjunction for areata. Good luck brah.
