I want to maintain a 5% dose in a daily 6ml carrier (kerastase stemox).

What amount of RU should I use per vial?

I am using the micro spoons rated 15-30 mg on the handle. I’m ok with some variation if I’m achieving at least 5% solution.

I’m also considering mixing a 300ml large bottle.

I have been in a less than adequate dose and have been shedding for Two months going to give it a full six.

Thanks!

Why do you want such a colossal dose of RU? I mean holy sh*t. The trial dose was 100 mg/day, why would you go much higher than that?

Here's an idea, try this calculator here:

To get 100 mg in 6ml of solution, you need a 1.67% solution.

I still lost hair on 150 mg per day RU. In my experience you need a lot of RU with frequent application to put a dent in things unless your goal is just to slow it down.

I was doing 150 mg twice daily by the end. I'll never know if that would have worked since I switched to daro right after, but that volume of RU was expensive, and started to give me blatant side effects. ie. fatigue, sexual.

Completely unrelated issue. I have a genetic mutation of my 5-alpha reductase enzyme whereby at least dutasteride with certainty I can say cannot inhibit my enzyme. I never tested finasteride in high dose to see if it could overcome the mutation.

Either way, RU works through a completely different mechanism as an androgen receptor antagonist. I have responded normally to all androgen receptor antagonists I've tried (spironolactone, cypro, daro, RU). RU is just the weakest of the bunch.

There are loads of stories online of guys losing ground on RU, and when you look at the potency and short half life it's not surprising. If you are okay with continuing to possibly lose ground, take some baseline pictures and give it 1-2 years to see. That's what I did, and while it definitely slowed things down, it simply wasn't enough.

I don't hear of many massive success stories on RU, and again that's not surprising.

Edit: @sunchyme1 I miss your Fuji avatar already

lol i needed a change. brotzu is the man of the hour!

you think if you cover a bunch of different angles, like all the ones you wrote about this weekend, you can use a lower amount of ru with success? by itself it wont halt your hair loss, but along side a bunch of other things, it will?

I’m not trying to exceed 100mg per day but I was making a weak solution I think per day less than 5%

I don't know. Your anti-androgen is always the foundation of any hair loss stack you build.

Daro is the lynchpin of my approach. Without daro or something equally strong to replace it, I'm sure I'd start losing hair again. It might be slow, but I expect it would happen again.

A good anti-androgen is critical. Everything else just builds on that.

So "maybe" I guess. I'm not one to take that chance. That's just me though.

Hypothetically: Botox + RU 5% + desloratadine 1% + estriol would probably stop hair loss too. But I don't know. I'm just guessing.

This is so true ... No matter what you use to enhance your treatment, if you leave aside the antiandrogenic side you compromise the development of long-term treatment

Did you try Daro after RU and Finasteride were ineffective? Where and how do you use the dark? Better sides profile than Finasteride?
