Help! Lost insurance and my refills ran out of proscar!

Hello all.
I've been on proscar for the past 5 months, 3 weeks. This past week I was forced to suddenly quit my job, leave my apartment, and relocate back home due to a family member becoming terminally ill... since I've relocated, I've also lost my health insurance.

I was due to see my doctor to get another 6 month prescription for proscar which cost me 5 bucks a refill. Now that is obviously not happening and I only have 1 week's worth of doses left.

Can I get proscar somewhere without a presciption? Can I get it within a week's time? And finally... Can I get it without breaking the bank as I just lost my job, health insurance, apartment, etc.?

Any suggestions or advice would be so much appreciated!

Go generic my brother (Fincar = 5mg finasteride tabs).

Slightly more than the $5 you're used to - but it'll do the same thing. No scrip required. They deliver to me in NE USA in less than 1 week.

Here's a question for you though. It says that the Fincar is 5mg tablets which is like what had gotten before with proscar. I split them into fourths so 8 tablets last me a month.

The Fincar dosage directions on that site reads says:

The recommended dose is 5 mg once a day with or without meals.

Is that correct? 5mg a day? Shouldn't that be 1.25mg a day? How are you taking Fincar and how long is 3 strips (30 tablets) lasting you?

that dosage is based on what Fincar is INTENDED for: BHP, a prostate disorder. You would just be cutting it up and using it as diercted for hairloss.
