HELP!! Will applying DermMatch while using Rogaine Foam ruin my results?

I'm a diffuse thinner whose been using Rogaine 5% foam and finasteride for four months now with very good results so far, however there's still an obvious thinning spot on my crown. I wouldn't mind waiting a couple more months for the effects of the treatments to fully kick in but I'm the guitar player in a band with a few shows coming up and it would be a total buzzkill to have to worry about it while being on stage. When I play, I need to feel 100% confident and focused on my music and not my looks so I've ordered a disk of black DermMatch to pull me through the ordeal. My hairline is intact so I only plan on using it to fill in my thin crown & I think it would work out great because I've still got some hair to work with.

I'm just wondering; will the DermMatch interfere with my current treatment in terms of hampering the results? I need people with experience who've used both products in conjuction, preferably or anybody with a well-thought opinion. I plan on applying the foam in the morning and waiting an hour before applying the dermmatch then rinsing it off at night before my second Rogaine application. If they work well together, I plan on continuing using the concealer until my crown thickens up with the Big 3 (if that happens) because why not? It would be great to start off my next semester at University without giving another thought to what people are thinking of my hair. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers in advances!

**SHORT VERSION**: How long should I wait after applying Rogaine before putting on a concealer like Dermmatch in the morning (or is using them together simply a bad idea)?

You will be fine. Dont try and put the foam on when you have derm in your hair. Peeps have tried that too and it makes the derm look awful and the foam not work. Half an hour after would be fine to start putting concealers in. Im in a band too and derm is literally a life saver. Combined with strong hair spray. Also tinted dry shampoo! Its not shampoo - its like a thickening styling tool. Bastise or superdrugs own. Amazing. Bang a bit of that - not too much after your derm is dry. Theres a reason women use it. Trust me. Youl be hair ready on stage and off.

Awesome! Very nice advice I've never read before; I didn't even know such a thing as dry shampoo existed. Hopefully it won't be too harsh on my head with the other things I put on it.

Your welcome buddy. Dry shampoo is great but go easy on it as it can run slightly when wet. It also drys out the moisture in your hair which is great cos it stops it looking oily and thin but if you go a few days without washing (i have) it can build up and make your hair feel dry. Its no biggie though once clean its fine abd you can start again. I once went a week and kept using it and it went reaally dry and big lookin.. not the most natural but tbh no one said anything or spotted it..

New one on me, dry shampoo, after you've washed your hair and put Derm in? Is that what you mean, and tinted, as in colour Ray?

Yep. Its not shampoo. Its a bit like spray paint but dont let that put u off! Try it theyre like a £3 a can. Better still google dry shampoo and womens hair. Theyve been hooked on this shizzle for years. It gets rid of oil and stops hair getting greasy, gives your hair body and a matte effect. Some are tinted which is great if you are thinning. After i use derm i bang this over my weak bits, give it a min to dry then apply to my entire hair in a few quick sprays. Gives loads of body and volume Google "corner of hope and mane" its a woman with thinning hair and she absolutley rocks her look using dry shampoo. I think she uses bumble and bumble but that stuff is v expensive.

Thanks Ray, I wondered if you'd just meant after a couple of days after the normal wash/Derm.
Check out the hair transplant thread you started, be interested to see what you may do. Have you gone anywhere yet to see anyone about a hair transplant?
