hi,

i have recently noticed diffusive thinning hair.
so i did a ''hair loss blood test'' and here are my results:

  • iron__________14.9 µmol/l (5.9 - 34.5)
  • vitamin B12 _286 pmol/l (145 - 569)
  • ferritin ECLIA __89.7μg/l (30.0 - 400.0)
  • TSH ECLIA_____2.97mU/l (0.27 - 4.20)
  • cortisol _____576.8 nmol/l (6 - 10 u.: 171 - 497 / 16 - 20 u.: 75 - 287 )
  • iodine ______ 0.41 µmol/l (0.32 - 0.63)

i don't really know what these should be to stop/slow down hair loss.
can someone help me understand these numbers?
should i do more tests or get on medication?

i got a warning with the test result that b 12 should be higher.
cortisol is clearly to high but i got no warning about that.
i read online that tsh is best at something like 1~1,5 mine is way higher.

i think i may have something that relates to my hair loss
both my grandfathers and my father do not have male pattern baldness. ( i know i can still have it)

i feel tired way too much.
i cant fall asleep easily
cant concentrate/ think like i used to when i was younger
i have acne that started around 20 before i had none
i'm always really hot
cant grow a good beard
hair gets greasy really fast especially the front half
my skin is too dehydrated
i have really dry lips

and i have a really hard time building muscle and gaining weight.
im 6 feet tall but only weight like 130 pounds
i used too eat pretty unhealthy so it was understandable.
bit since a half a year i eat really healthy with lots of vegetables, rice and protein.
but i still am not gaining weight and i think this is a contributing factor too my hairloss

so does anyone know what i should do?
are there any tests i could do to know what the f* is happening to me?

i already use some supplements and shampoo but no real medication( see my regime)
i know about finastride, but with the possible sides effects i don't think its smart to take it when im already not feeling well.

thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

English is not my native language so i am sorry for any mistakes.

Your blood test is ok.
Maybe is just you are prone to baldness ( post a photo and i will tell you if you have male pattern baldness).

If you have male pattern baldness and you want take care about your hairs the early you start medication ( finas minoxidil keto) the better chance you have to regrowth or mantein it .
finasteride is a totally safe drug , only 2% have side effect and also they are totally reversivle when you stop medication. Your choice

I understand where you are coming from. My hair loss pattern is like yours. When you have straight fine caliber hair, you are always going feel and look like a diffuse thinner. If you had coarse wavy hair, you would not notice anything wrong. Your hairline is moving back. Happening to me too. That is why people like Beckham and Bieber can look diffuse under certain circumstances. Wavy coarse hair is a genetic gift in my opinion. The best hair transplant patient results have this caliber of hair.
